Occupational Therapy incorporates a full spectrum of treatment options, focused on the goal of restoring independence in the activities of daily living.

Using state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technology and techniques, Bacharach's Occupational Therapy professionals concentrate on the upper body, specializing in restoring function for everyday tasks: dressing, eating, working, driving and more.

From buttoning a sweater to writing a letter, the OT team helps people with physical limitations get back to independence, through training, exercise and adaptive equipment solutions.

Bacharach's main campus and several Physical Therapy Centers are equipped with pool facilities for aquatic therapy.

Assisted by a qualified therapist, the patient performs a controlled exercise and movement program through warm water.

Aquatic therapy is an important component of rehabilitation for many conditions and offers a host of benefits to both adults and children, including:

 
Relief from stiffness, muscle tension and pain
Increased strength, mobility and flexibility
Improved balance and coordination

Bacharach's Arthritis Program provides a comprehensive array of therapeutic services for those coping with arthritis and rheumatic disease.

Controlled exercise and physical rehabilitation can enhance drug therapy and other treatment options to improve mobility and decrease pain.

The team will design a custom program of skilled nursing care and physician consultation; physical, occupational and aquatic therapies; psychology and emotional counseling; nutritional counseling; recreational therapy; and patient and family education.
