Ortho Day Rehab
The Day Rehab program is a progressive orthopedic program for single joint replacement or laminectomy. It is perfect for people who do not require the 24 hour medical management of an inpatient program, but who still need intensive therapy every day.
Ortho Day Rehab provides physical therapy twice daily as well as an occupational therapy evaluation but without the inconvenience of staying overnight at the hospital. A Registered Nurse is always available to assist with medical and self-care needs.
At the end of each day, patients return home where they are challenged to integrate their new skills into the home setting.
The hospital offers a free courtesy van to accommodate those who need help getting to and home from the program.
We have 3 locations: Main Campus, Somers Point, and Manahawkin.
Bacharach will provide:
- Case management
- Lunch
- Lab work when necessary
- Physiatry
- Rehab nursing
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
You need:
- Prescription for day rehab from your physician and precertification or referral form from insurance if necessary
- Insurance card
- Medication you will take while you are here
- List of all medicines you take daily
- Assistive devices (reacher, shoe horn, etc.)
What to wear:
- Comfortable clothing
- Comfortable shoes, preferably sneakers
If preferred, knee and laminectomy patients may safely travel by car. Hip patients must ask their doctor about transportation safety.
