Renaissance Pavilion staff with the U. S. News & World Report Best Nursing Homes, Short-Term Rehabilitation badge.
In short, Bacharach’s Renaissance Pavilion was recently named one of the nation’s Best Nursing Homes, Short-Term Rehabilitation for 2019-2020 by The U.S News & World Report. In fact, the Renaissance Pavilion is one of only 2,250 homes in the nation and the only nursing home and short-stay rehabilitation facility in Atlantic County to receive a “High Performing” rating.
“We’re honored to receive recognition as the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes, Short-Term Rehabilitation designation for 2019-2020,” says Richard Kathrins, Ph.D., Bacharach’s CEO and President. “This prestigious ranking is possible thanks to our accomplished staff’s continued commitment to raising the bar for our patients.”
As part of the study, U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas. This year, U.S. News developed a new category where 13,683 facilities received a Short-Term Rating. The Short-Term Rehabilitation Ratings newly incorporate several measures of quality, including consistency of registered nurse staffing, minutes of physical therapy and success in preventing falls.
Best Nursing Homes Ranking Takes Renaissance Pavilion to a New Level
“This ranking takes us to a whole different level. It is an important factor for people to consider when looking for short-term rehab care for a family member or friend,” says Skip Broomall, administrator of the Renaissance Pavilion at Bacharach. “The ranking puts our staff in the top tier for consistency in care among other key factors. Our entire staff is committed to putting the best standards in place and providing our patients with exceptional care. In short, recognizing ‘there’s no place like home’, our team works in a multidisciplinary approach to help patients return home as soon as possible.”
Abby Roessler, MSW, LCSW, Bacharach’s director of case management and social services, echoes this sentiment. She adds that the Renaissance Pavilion is like no other subacute rehab in the area. With 35 years of experience as a medical social worker, including 20 years at Bacharach, Abby notes that most other facilities hire outside agencies to provide therapy. At Renaissance Pavilion you’re getting a Bacharach therapist. “We’re a different caliber of therapy with our years of collective experience,” says Abby.
U. S. News Nursing Home Finder
In addition to releasing its annual Nursing Home Rankings, the U.S News & World Report also released its Nursing Home Finder . The program helps people receive the best care by identifying the best nursing homes in their area. With this tool, individuals can easily conduct a customized search for a highly rated nursing home by location, Medicare coverage and more.
“When identifying a sub-acute rehab facility, we encourage people to do their research, follow-up with a visit and talk to their neighbors and friends,” continues Skip. “We have a tremendous amount of repeat business and referrals, which speaks volumes. This US News & World Report ranking gives people yet another validation.”
