Bacharach’s Mays Landing Clinic was its first off-site outpatient physical therapy center, opening in 1991.
Today the center has six clinicians, including physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and an occupational therapist along with 3 front office staff.
Chuck Murphy, PT, who has worked at Bacharach for 27 years, was there for the opening of the Mays Landing location and has been there ever since. “We treat people from nine to 90 years old”, said Chuck. “We specialize in orthopedic outpatient physical and occupational therapy, treating postsurgical patients as well as musculoskeletal injuries to the spine and extremities.” Additionally we treat neurological diagnoses such as CVA, Parkinson’s disease and balance dysfunction.
Chuck not only works in Mays Landing, but he lives there as well. He has seen the therapy center become a part of the community.
“I sometimes know the patients that come in, and I have the opportunity to get to know a lot of members of the community,” said Chuck. “We have a very good reputation in the community and we stay busy because of it.”
The Mays Landing Clinic has evening hours three nights a week, enabling those who work to get their therapy in. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Chuck and his team value that Bacharach is a care-centered organization, allowing the clinicians to spend the necessary amount of time with each patient to deliver a comprehensive individualized and focused treatment program. This results in consistently good patient outcomes.
“We have a very good group of people who work here, both clinicians and support staff, and a team atmosphere that allows us to work together to meet our patient’s needs.”
The Mays Landing Clinic is located in The Brickworks Office Park at 5429 Harding Highway (Rt. 40), Suite 203, Mays Landing. To make an appointment or to learn more about the therapy center call 609-625-5000.
