Quinnipiac graduate Joanne Moore, PT, has been with Bacharach for 22 years, 20 of which were spent caring for inpatients.

While an inpatient therapist, Joanne has treated a wide variety of clients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and multi trauma.

Now that she has transitioned to the outpatient department, she feels those experiences have helped her to “know where her clients have been and to have an understanding of what they’ve gone through to get to this point.”

Additionally from the acute rehab setting, she has brought to her outpatient clients the handling skills and core strategies which are needed to promote normal movement patterns.

Beauty and Resilience

Joanne states that “helping people is incredibly rewarding and I love being a witness to the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. Sometimes that spirit struggles when faced with a traumatic experience, but I do my best to support the whole being by my side. In the end, I love watching people I’ve cared for triumph.”

Happy Physical Therapy Month, Joanne!
