New All Terrains Area

Kelly’s All Pro Landscaping of Linwood, N.J. recently donated materials and labor to Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation to build a new terrain training area for patients. The terrain training area will allow patients to attempt and master varied surfaces in a safe environment. Patients who learn to walk or wheel on flat interior surfaces may struggle with the varied and bumpy surfaces found outside the hospital.

Lori Rees, director of engineering for Bacharach, drew the plans for the training area, which includes four different surfaces – even pavers, uneven pavers, stone and sand.  A crew from Kelly’s All Pro Landscaping installed the pavers and Frank Hacker, from F. Hacker Trucking in Sweetwater, NJ, provided labor and expertise for the sand and stone portions of the training area.
